On November 22, 2019, the Institute for Materials Research, Tohoku University (IMR) and Laboratoire National des Champs Magnétiques Intenses (LNCMI), France and Laboratoire de Génie Electrique de Grenoble(G2Elab), France and Institut NÉEL, France agreed on the establishment of a Joint Laboratory. These institutions promote cooperation and exchange within the field of development of a high field magnet with high temperature superconducting materials and high magnetic field research in order to performe academic researches and to nurture young researchers.
